Unstoppable Van Persie & Unplayable Wayne Rooney: The Catalyst To New Manchester United

The first time Wayne Rooney and Van Persie  both started a match in the Barclays Premier League, the results were truly a feast to behold. United looked a class above their Geordie counter-parts who—with the exception of a good ten minute spell at the start of the second half—never really looked like threatening United's chance of taking home all three points. 

This resurgence was an excellent demonstration of the type of championship winning mentality that is bred into Manchester United players.

            

The passing between the pair has been immaculate, with both men exhibiting a clear understanding of how the other plays. They move as if they have played together for years making and finishing moves and long range passes with uttermost precision. The Champions League match against CFR Cluj was also another sign of the devastating attacking threat they give to Manchester United.  VP netted both goals and Rooney absolutely dominating the game from start to finish and provided both assists. Since then, the pair have created and scored 18 goals between them. However, whether their flurry of goals will lead to trophies is something we will find out at the end of the season. In the mean time, we enjoy the pleasure of siting back and enjoying the pair who have turned on all of the lights of the English Premier by practically bringing Manchester United back from the dead on so many occasions this season. Man United have come from behind to win over 10 games this season. The seven match thriller in Madjeski Stadium against Reading broke the Premier league record of the most goals scored under fourty minutes with Rooney netting a brace and assisting RVP for the match winner. Week in week out they have combined to devastating effect. that more is still to come is fact that every football player in the world is aware of. With his strikers including the talismatic Javier Hernandez in the form of their lives, Sir Alex Ferguson is looking forward to the crunch Manchester derby coming up at the Etihad stadium on Sunday and so are we.
