Twilight Smashes Box Office Records

Pulling in $17.4 million during its third weekend, the film just managed to beat Skyfall into second place. The vampire film, which stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, has smashed box office records and now earned a total of $254.6 million in North America and Canada since it opened on November 16.

Failing to budge from the top spot, the fifth and final film of the franchise has now broken the £700 million mark globally.
