Matthew McConaughey's Shocking Weight Loss

In photos published over the past two days, the 43-year-old actor looks thin and gaunt, with no sign of his typical muscular frame. He's said to have lost over 30 pounds for a  role in which he plays an AIDs patient.

The photos taken at LAX on Friday show the "Wedding Planner" actor wearing a blue fitted long-sleeve shirt that hangs loosely on his gaunt frame. Additionally, his cheeks look sunken and his jawline is too prominent, indicating significant weight loss. In the movie, he will be playing the role of Ron Woodruff, a homophobic Texan electrician who is diagnosed with AIDs during the 1980s from sharing needles.
