Oscar Pistorius Arrested In Connection With Gruesome Murder of His Girlfriend

A woman has been found dead in the home of South African paralympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius.ccording to Reuters, Pistorius is being questioned by police in Pretoria about the incident. Domestic media reports say the victim is Pistorius' girlfriend, though the woman's name has not yet been released.

Lt. Col. Katlego Mogale told The Associated Press that officers found a 9-mm pistol at the scene. Pistorius is expected to appear in court later today.

Police spokesperson Captain Sarah Mcirca also confirmed that the victim was shot in the arm and the head, USA Today reported.

Pistorius, 26, who was born without a fibula in both legs, was the first double amputee to run in the Olympics. Nicknamed the "Blade Runner," Pistorius was able to compete by wearing carbon fiber prosthetic blades.
