Michael Jackson's Son Dives Into Show Business

Prince Michael was just 12 years old when his singer father died, leaving him and his two siblings orphans. Having seen what fame did to his father you might expect Prince Jackson to shun the spotlight but the 16-year-old has followed his legendary farther's into show business with his appointment as a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight.

'I'm looking to become well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor,' he explained.

The role is certainly a step up from the usual first jobs of delivering papers and washing cars.

Prince will talk to celebrities for the show, with his first interview with Oz The Great And Powerful stars James Franco and Zach Braff and director Sam Raimi set to be screened this week.

The teen told ET 'I've been raised around stuff like this so it was different being the interviewer instead of the one being interviewed.'

ET correspondent Brooke Anderson mentored Prince, who sought advice from actor Franco about making it in the industry.

'I always tell people, just go out and try, and stop waiting around or dreaming it’s going to happen,' said Franco. 'Just go and start doing things on your own.'

And it seems Prince aims to do just that, as he revealed the figures he would most like to meet.

'Probably Peter Jackson because I love his movies.  Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and King Kong.

'I just love the way he shoots [and how] he brings things and depicts it back to life.  I used to study his movies with my dad, put the volume off and just watch it, just the shots to see how he put it together.'
