Reports just reaching us has revealed that the prolific rapper has been deposed in Kim Kardashian’s ongoing divorce case against NBA player Kris Humphries.

Speculations that West and Kardashian became intimately involved before she filed for a divorce from Humphries have circulated for some time now. Though they both anounced their relationship in April of 2012,  the rapper had earlier appeared in episodes of Kim and Kourtney Take New York TV as far back as 2010.

On Wednesday, Kims Lawyer told the Court Judge that her client was ready to move on from her marriage, but was “handcuffed to Mr Humphries” due to his non-readiness for trial.

It’s believed the delay in the case is because Humphries and Kardashian are set on approaching their divorce from very different positions. Humphries is accusing his estranged wife of fraud and his attorney maintains that he needs more time to collect documents from E! Entertainment and NBC Universal, the companies behind Kardashian’s reality shows. For her part, Kardashian is seeking a traditional divorce based on the dual premises that the marriage was unreasonably brief and that a prenuptial agreement is already in place.
